Canakkale, Turkey
My first sail was overnight from Istanbul to Canakkale (home of the Trojan Horse!!)… I took a gravol, just incase…but you barley feel the boat moving at all. I must say, it’s quite exhilarating to go to sleep in one city and wake up in another. Even though I’m working a lot, the views alone have been amazing and make the hours go by much faster. It’s a small town- the home of the Trojan horse used in the movie Troy... really, it wasn’t that exciting… a big horse duplicated in 2004 for the movie- I think I would’ve been better off taking a nap lol, but hey…now I can say I’ve seen the Trojan horse!
